water additive (drench)

Has anyone out there used a product call DRENCH ? If so does it work as claimed ?
We are looking for somthing to use to stretch the effectivnes of water.

Any other idea's?

A department that I used to run with used Wet Water by 3M. I don't know if it's still available but it worked great. Good luck, be safe.

I don't know any companies in our area that use anything like either of those products, but have heard that those additives do work nicely. I will add that we usually add a little dish detergent to our water cans on the Rescue Co., just to get the water a little wetter.

My department uses DRENCH. We normally pour it into the tank after the fire has been knocked down. It works pretty well for helping the water saturate into smoldering products.

The only downside is that it is kind of pricey. I'm looking at using class A foam in a low proportion instead of the drench. This is because 5 gallons of class A foam costs less than 1 comtainer of drench and it takes two containers for a tank of water.
