Parades/Water Barrel Fights

One of the previous threads made this come to mind. The Vollie Dept that i belong to marches in close to ten parades each summer. We also try to participate in 5-10 water barrel fights a year. The questions are: Does you Dept. march in parades? And
Does your Dept. participate in water barrel fights?

Every once in a while we march in Parades. We try to go to as many Battle of the Barrel contests as possible each summer. There are still a few places that have pumping contests even but, there down to three or four a year. I think the fact that pumping contest are hard on Pumpers is the main reason people are not having more. They can also be hard on Firefighters as well. I've seen a few get hurt at these events.

Well we don't march but we have apparatus in them, No we've never been in a water fight, Now our near by vollie FD Sierra Madre, They have a 4th of July parade and they get into some huge water fights
