How much does your dept spend per call?

We are a Volunteer fire department. Cost is around $550.00 per run. Several years ago we had a large wildfire that lasted 4 days and cost us 17 brand new tires for brush trucks and food for a lot of meals.

Last year it came out to about $640 per run. 1400 runs and $900,000 budget.

with an anual budget between $80,000.00 and $100,000 and 334 calls, between $239.52 and $299.40. i forget how much money we got last year, but it was in between $80,000.00 and $100, 000.

Based on the Department's budget of $4.875 million and 5800 incidents and 1140 inspections, the total comes to an average of $702.44 per incident/inspection. Of course, the costs vary as to the type of call, number of apparatus, personnel etc. The Department took in $39,000 in inspection fees.

Following the thread on "How much does your dept's budget cost each citizen?" Let's see how economical everyone is. How much does a response in your jurisdiction cost?

I used the whole budget/the total number of requests for service and got $945 per call. Wow, for $945 you can get two engines and a ladder with a minimum of 8 FF; a Paramedic unit and an Engine with 6 FF/Medics; or two Medic units and two engines with 10 FF/Medics (if they're all there that day.)
