Just curious on how everyone carries their mask while responding to a scene. We are a small RR volunteer dept and I have told the guys not to mask up until they are ready to make entry. The members that will make entry will also have to stretch the attack line and bring forcible entry tools with them. We use Scott SCBA and there is a clip hook on the left shoulder strap that I have used along with a carabiner to secure my mask. Just looking for other ideas.

Full time: Attached to the regulator, in a mask bag, which is clipped to my shoulder strap.
POC: in a bag attached to my truckman's belt....brought out of bag as needed.Comment

This, If i am getting off the rig wearing the pack and untill i don the mask. While my pack is on the rig, the mask is attached to the regulator but not clipped in so it does not get in the way of my shoulder straps.Originally posted by BSFD184 View PostComment

Thanks to all of you that replied. I have been trying to get our guys to do just what most of you have said, carry it attached to the regulator. We are an all volunteer dept. and we never know what will arrive for a call. We all have our own mask and we normally keep them in out lockers in a bag. After getting in the cab and fastening the seat belt we don our SCBA and then attack the mask bag to the shoulder clip. I was just looking for other ideas or procedures that might be a more efficient method of keeping everything secured so our hands our free to perform whatever job we are assigned.Comment

I keep mine clipped to my coat on a carabiner when not on the rig. Once I get on the rig, I attach it to the regulator until needed.Comment
