Why is it that you feel a need for bashing volunteers? I get it, there are probably some out there that are cocky as$holes that just want the t-shirt or lights, but I'd bet you that a few of you guys that think poorly of them were volunteers at one time or another. I think that if someone works 40 hours a week and still has time to volunteer for their community, time that takes away from family and free time, they should be commended. That's not to say that paid shouldn't be, by any means. You guys work your as$es off and rightfully get paid to do so. Volunteers, you guys can get a call at 3am and BAM your there. I just don't think it's right to criticize all that volunteer their time merely because you've had bad experiences with a few. I don't think it should be looked at as better or worse, just different roles for what each person can give back to their community.
Just some food for thought.Last edited by Jay Remmy; 04-08-2011, 12:27 PM.:-J Remmy
