Three years ago, 4 April, Colerain Township lost two firefighters in an early morning residential structure fire. Captain Robin M. Broxterman and Firefighter Brian W. Schira were killed when a section of floor collapsed trapping them in the basement.
    Rest in peace....
‎"The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. Continuous skill development is the core of progressive firefighting. We learn by doing and doing it again and again, both on the training ground and the fireground."
    Lt. Ray McCormack, FDNY

I use the fire as an example of why doing a 360 is important in all situations, even those that seem to demand immediatte firefighting operations.
Train to fight the fires you fight.

I just briefly went over the final report with a rookie class that I taught last night. Hopefully it made them all think a little bit.
