Are there Departments out there that let othe firefighters from other dept.s tour with them?

My instructor for an extrication class said he went to a couple different ones.

I'd like to look into it for the experience.

Tour as ride along ---- yes

Actualy do some hands on---- have not heard anyone fo that, but more then likely someone does


Some will let you spend the night if you need a bed

Yeah, that in a nutshell is what I meant. I think it would be cool to experience another depts way of operating. Especially a Vol. to a paid.

Common in MD. A couple of Aussies spent a week or two at my son's vollie house a couple of years ago.
