Good fundraising and morale booting opportunity!
Thanks!
The American Firehouse Tour is here! For the last 8 months, planning has been in full gear and dates have been set. The American Firehouse Tour will be in full swing from June 1st, 2011 - September 11th, 2011. We are still actively seeking new fire departments to hit along the way. Paul has decided to provide these shows for free as a means to help fire departments raise money and boost morale. If your Fire Department is interested in joining the tour, please read below:
The American Firehouse Tour is officially booking gigs for the summer of 2011. We are letting you know that we would like to make a stop at your fire station and provide a free night of entertainment for your firefighters and your community.
What Is The American Firehouse Tour?
The American Firehouse Tour was born when Nashville Recording Artist, Paul Cummings, wrote “The Firefighter Song”. Paul grew up in the fire service and has spent 9 years as an active Firefighter in Upstate NY. During the summer of 2007, Paul responded to a multiple dwelling structure fire which took the lives of 4 people. Around the same time that summer Paul’s daughter was born. For the first time since he began his firefighting career in 2002, Paul thought differently about the job they faced. Throughout the weeks that followed, Paul began to realize the sacrifices we all make to do what we do. Here he was, a brand new baby girl, and a decision to make. When that alarm went off, he put his own life on the line to potentially save complete strangers. This is what firefighters do every day!
With that in mind, 75% of all firefighters in the country are volunteer. They leave their own families and friends to save and help lives throughout their communities and never once ask for a dime or recognition. The truth is, Firefighters are soldiers protecting everyone living and passing through their communities. The American Firehouse Tour is based around giving Firefighters recognition for one night. It’s a chance for your firefighters to stand proud in front of your community.
How The Tour Works
The tour will visit 5 firehouses per week and not only provide entertainment, but provide a chance for your fire department to raise money. Our main goal is to support you. We will give you a free show and it’s up to you on how you utilize it. Some fire departments will decide to use this show as a way to say thank you for the service their members have given and others will invite the community and sell tickets to the event. Every dime you make on our show is yours to keep. The tour is 100% FREE of charge from us. To sum up, if you don’t want to use this as a fundraising event, no harm done.
Every night, every stop, and at every firehouse, Paul will hand out 2 awards. One will honor the fire department, and one will honor a member who has gone above and beyond to serve their community. When Paul arrives to your station, he will meet with officers and members to determine who will receive that award. All active members will receive a 2011 American Firehouse Tour poster as well as a free copy of the “Firefighter Song” and “The Firefighter Song DVD” set to be released on May 31st, 2011.
