  • Looked and looked!!!!

I came across a post the other night of someone asking "If you were doing it all over again, what would you change on the apparatus you spec'ed and bought?" Being late and tired, I have either dreamed that the post exists or just keep over looking it. I have used the search feature for the forum and I am still unable to find it. There was some great ideas there. If anyone knows where this post is PLEASE send me a link to it.

I don't believe it was the "What three things..." or the "What is the most over looked..." posts.

Pierce also has some HD headlights, pretty cool.

I think I would've tried hard not to have the one engine be all things. In general, the engines are getting so damn long...

It depends on the apparatus, but there are some things I definitly would have changed.
I am now a past chief and the views, opinions, and comments are mine and mine alone. I do not speak for any department or in any official capacity. Although, they would be smart to listen to me.

I can't believe they actually pay me to do this!!!

One friend noted yesterday that a fire officer only carries a flashlight, sometimes prompting grumbling from firefighters who have to lug tools and hoses.
"The old saying is you never know how heavy that flashlight can become," the friend said.
