  • Online Pump Ops Study

I'll start pump op 1 in a few months and I'd like to get a jump on things in the interim.
Are there any study aids/courses on line? I like having the opportunity to read up when I can...small bites instead of sitting down to a full course table.

    Thanks in advance.

    Happy Festivus.

Best place for training hands down!!
A Fire Chief has ONLY 1 JOB and that's to take care of his fireman. EVERYTHING else falls under this.

are you on a department now?

if so immerse yourself in to the pump manuel for the engine and talk to your mechanics and old crusties that opump alot.

if you're not... go donwn to the local house and ask around, most of the time they are willing to help.

also beside the file sharing sites mentioned, look at youtube and search for "fire hydraulics" simple math stuff a instructor around me did for hydraulics class. basic but useful.
