Wild.. I know they exist, no department here uses them routinely that I'm aware of.

I've never used the rescue hood. But some fire departments carry them if they go into buildings. Ususally they are used to rescue victims through area where a little bit smoke is.

They have only have a filter and are not connecte to the SCBA.
