Are you talking about a tanker that is pulled by a road tractor also known as a fuel tanker, be it for gasoline, diesel or fuel oil, even may a fuel oil truck??
If so and the fire is on the top of that tanker at the fill holes, closed the fill hatches. At most loading terminals and racks there is an extinguishing agent , like at restaurants for hood s and ranges that will drop the fused link and discharge the agent on the rack and tanker truck trailer.Stay Safe and Well Out There....
