  • Blauer 9845Z - Good jacket?

Now that most of our BLS calls are coming in when it's low 30's out, I figured it was time to invest in something warmer than my quarter-zip. Anyone have the Blauer 9845?

I should have it in a week, then another week to get department patches put on; but the place I bought it from has a nice return policy for FF's. Any thoughts/experiences with it?

I had one that I demo'd. It will keep you dry and warm.

Thank you. Is it comfortable to work in? Not too bulky or constricting? Looks good (reflective)?

You'll like it. I use mine when I'm outside instructing and don't need the structural turnout coat on.

Howard County, MD is currently providing the Blauer 9970-1. I believe the two are very similar, except the 9970-1 is hi-viz (it's rated ANSI Class II, same as most hi-viz vests). I like mine so far.

Yeah. And it doesn't overdue it with all the bright yellow
