POV: Strobes or Haligon Warning Lights

Just wondering what type of warning lights, if any, that you are using on your POV. Also what colors are allowed to be used in your area? We are allowed to use red and clear to the front only with red and amber to the rear! I am looking to install lights on my POV but just wanted to know what ya'll have found to be a good investment. Thanks ahead of time for the help!!!!

I have a Dashmiser 2 Strobe (red/clear)on dash, Dashmiser strobe (red) in back glass and wig-wags.

Red-Fire, EMS
Blue-Law Enforcement

I have a single Dashlaser, solid blue, fast speed on my dash. When I get a larger vehicle, I'm going back to my firebeam.

Wigwags as soon as HB 0106 passes the Illinois Senate.

I run a single code 3 dash laser allowed to run red and whire
but If I where youu and I could afford it I would look into getting into the new led lights just got back from fire college and those things are bright

On my Ford Ranger pickup truck, I have 2 of the blue Par 36 extended lens strobes on the front bumper and a blue double dashmiser above the rear view mirror. Due to some budget cut-backs, I don't have anything in the back yet. The extended lens strobes are very effective because you can see them from the sides too, great for intersections.

On the subject of LEDs, red and amber are about the same price as strobes. Blue is significantly more, and green is ALOT more. I would recomend getting a Whelen LED Slimlighter. I work at Whelen and have seen this on several vehicles- It Kicks ***!

The Federal Firebeam or Code 3 Dashlaser with the multi-flash mirrors are great halogen units if you want something economic.

Of course, for about $4,500 you can get a full Whelen SMARTlink system with a lightbar, siren, remote strobes, wig-wags, and B-Link control center. But, that may be a bit excessive for a personal vehicle.

i would recomend a CODE 3 MX7000 w/ clear domes and red filters, a 6-light arrowstik (optional), wig-wags, and a PA300 Siren (if you can ave one).

I have both in my POV, halogen sealed beams in grill, and Whelen double Dashmiser under rear view mirror. Both are red/clear. In Va we can only have red/clear. I assume that you could have amber facing rear, no law for or against it that I know of. I don't have anything to the rear because technically I can't run both the grill lights and strobe at the same time, and I think having lights in the rear would cause me problems, because in Va law, you can only have 2 lights on a POV. The pair of grill lights count as 2!

In SC your supposed to have a minimum of 2 lights on front, 2 on back OR one light on top that is able to be seen 360 deg.

I just bought the new whelen tir6 slimlighter m version in blue. I will never go back to anything again. THis thing covers the side of the vehicle and is absolutley blinding when viewed straighton at the side it is still extremely visible. The flashpatterns are absolutley amazing. You should all check out this led dash light.

Seriously, the best electronic siren out there is the
Unitrol Touchmaster. Enclosed is a picture. If you
watched COPS last week, the North Las Vegas PD was
busting intersections with one. Here is their site-

then they will last you the next 20 years+. Here is a
