I just saw on the website that they claim they "responded" to the propane fire in Delaware County, PA that was recently discussed on here!

Well, after reading his blogs and viewing his website a few times, I am convinced this is an elaborate hoax by a very bored individual. It is very amusing though.

I can't stop laughing.......... I've only been in the fire service a year and I'm pretty sure i'm more qualified to run and operate a fire department than he is. Yes, I think it's a hoax's and if it's not. I might just go and find a new line of work.

Question: Since I'm not on a department yet (too young) and I'm on this website would I be defined as a whacker?

              Well, not quite.

You are a kid who wants to be a fireman but there is a fine line between wannabe and whacker. As kids, we all were wannabe's. Some couldn't cut it and became whackers.

The only reason thay I know why they are cops was they couldn't make the cut for a firemans job! Maybe in time they will improve theirselves and could get on the FD!!

Well, you know what they say about what cops and firemen have in common....they both want to be firemen...

My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

Maybe you should discuss this on Firehouse's sister site Officer.com.
