  • Where to buy studs leather helmet?

I am looking for the long studs that go into the dome on the front of a leather helmet. Do any of you know where I can purchase these online?

I have looked around and cannot find them.

    Thank you.

When I was installing the front on my N6A I got a little too aggressive with the tightening and snapped off one of the studs. It snapped right at the top of the nut that was in between the front and the helmet. I called Cairns when I did it and asked about replacing that stud. They said it was not something I could do myself as it was imbedded between layers of the helmet and would need to be sent back to them for repair.

I ended up just removing the nut and using these:

The nut portion could be a little larger, but they did work and don't look bad.

I just received these in the mail the other day when I thought that is what I needed. However it wasn't. The best way for me to describe what these are for is to attach your assignment to the larger leather front. Similar to FDNY's fronts with the removable center panel.

These are not what I am looking for.

I cannot use stud extenders because the helmet I have has no studs at all.

Try Home Depot or any other hardware store. You need the long threaded bolt part to go with the acorn nut you have.

If it that doesn't match, they sell the bolts and nuts too. No one will ever know that they didn't come with your helmet, unless you tell them.

The the helmet and front piece with you so you can get the correct size and length.
