  • Movin' on up!

I was debating if I should post this or not cuz I hate to toot my own horn.

On Tuesday of this week, August 17th, promotions were made official. I was promoted to Assistant Chief (number 2 in the food chain under the Chief) and two Lieutenants were promoted to Captain. It feels good yet scary to actually have the responsibility. I basically have been doing the job for the past 2 years or so but now it's official. I started on the department as an explorer in 1989 and now made it to AC. Brings to mind the theme song of the Jeffersons..."Movin' on up"

Not bad for a cheese eating jackpine savage Packer fan if I do say so myself.

    Ok, carry on!

    Congrats man!

What's the tradition at your department? You buying a nice meal?

Congrats brother. Judging by the way you conduct yourself around here they are lucky to have you.

              Congrats!
You get more "plungers" to deal with the crap that comes along with the promotion!

First congrats on the promotion. I believe you will do a fine job.

Secondly, I simply can't believe no one has fired a friendly shot at him yet. Have we here become infected by the PC police?

Hey Dickey be careful of "White shirt, one flush syndrom." You pin on the bugles and the first crap you take after that half of you brain goes with it!

Hey, you have to be gentle with someone who is so close to retirement. Those old guys get emotional.
