Do a walk around the ride. Look at all the hose lines, nozzles, appliances both outside and inside compartments.

Make sure nothing is just "hanging" on the ride. Check the lights and replace lamps or modules if defective.

ONCE a week pull the ride out on the ramp and run the engine, pump and flow some water. You can also crack open the tank fill to flow water back to the tank. After these checks, maybe you and several others can take the ride around you area to let the tires and everything else get some exercise!!

way too much overkill in my opinion. count the folds (ensuring loaded amount), look at the nozzle, and that it is secure on the engine....otherwise wait until the next time you pull it

Are you expecting that once a week, all of the hose on your rig is going to be pulled for the specific purpose of inspecting the wear, tear, and gaskets? As much as I'm all about being prepared and safe, I don't think you're going to have a lot of guys on your side when you present this idea to them.

Checking hundreds of feet of hose flies in the face of a "quick" weekly inspection.

looking to have FF's check hose condition. this is as part of a quick weekly truck inspection. we have an outside company come in and pressure test all the hose annually. im not sure if that explains it any better. i can picture in my head what i want but i cant exactly explain it

are you looking for if there is a certain amount of hose that you are checking for each day? nozzles in position? loaded correctly in your department's choice of hose loads?

please explain better what you need.
