    what knives/tools do you use?

    Hello
    i am just wondering what knife/tools you are using.
    i wanted to buy something specially made for firemen.
    any recommendations?

      I always preferred a chinese cleaver. I used it more than anything else.

                Just switched to a Bowie. Does a better job.

                  Strap a Marine K-Bar from your bunker coat... That will solve all your problems.

                      That knife seems decent, and I also carry something similar to that, but get yourself a nice Gerber or Leatherman Multi-tool. Ya know, the one with pliers, and knives, and all that good stuff. You'll find it very, very damn useful.

                        Don't be swayed by "Rescue" or "Firefighter" in any advertising. I'll tell you my Leatherman is just for Firefighters if you'll pay an extra $20. Gerber makes a good product but they're standard Multi-tool is more versitale than the Rescue Tool.

                          This addage is not exclusive to hand tools. Anything that is made for firefighters will cost at least 10 percent more.

                            My son-n-law got me a leatherman a couple years ago. Nice tool.
