Good afternoon,

I'm sharing some info on behalf of my buddy, Bob Furman, that works for the New York State Office of Fire Prevention & Control regarding the the 44th Annual New York State Fire and Life Safety Educator?s Conference. I've been to this event before and thought it was pretty amazing. If anyone is close to New York State and free May 5-7, I'd encourage you to consider this event.

Each year NYS OFPC partners with NYSAFC and we have Fire and Life Safety Educators from around the east coast and Canada come to the NYS Fire Academy to learn how to start up a Fire and Life Safety Program or get new information on how to enhance an existing program. This year?s theme is ?Fire and Life Safety from the Ground Up?. We have presenters that will give information on how to start up a program, how to enhance a program, where and how to get funding, and where to get materials and ideas for handouts. Speakers come from all over the US and Canada. After conference activities are planned each night and this is also a great time for networking between attendees to get ideas on what works and what may not.

If anyone has questions, you can contact the conference contact person below or visit the Conference webpage at Thanks and have a great day.
