anyone in investigation in MO or KS?

I've been a volunteer ff for 7 years, i have an AS in fire Science and ff 1 and 2. What do I need to do to get involved in fire investigation in Mo or/and Ks?

I've only lived in the kansas city area for a year. I moved from VA, so i'm still learning how things work.

a great guy that knows his stuff. Dan Anderson of Anderson Investigation. He also teaches classes at KCKCC. He used to be a BC over in Lenexa. He teaches a investigation class every spring. If you hurry, you can still get in it at KCKCC

You can keep an eye on Missouri's Division of Fire Safety calendar of events. They post all of the Divison classes in the state there. They've got to where they're really picky on who does the investigator instructing nowadays. It's a damn good class, though. 5 days, 8 hrs. a day. If you're on a department, it'll be a lot easier as you have to have two investigation reports to get certified; one incindiary, one accidental.

I think the FF I and II will be all you need, possibly a certain amount of experience. Look on the "training" link one DFS's website for more info on certification.
