Fires in Oklahoma, southern Kansas could be related
    enirh
ENID, Okla. (AP) - A string of arson fires that has kept
north-central Oklahoma firefighters busy lately may be tied to an
arson spree just across the northern Oklahoma border, authorities
    said.
A series of fires were set in Harper County, Kan., Monday night,
including one firefighters battled for several hours, Sheriff Kirk
    Rogers said.
The first one was reported north of Harper and then along an arc
in western and southern areas of county, Rogers said. At least 17
    blazes were set.
"We were still out running around most of the night," Rogers
    said Tuesday.
Authorities are searching for a white or cream Dodge pickup
truck with a gray toolbox. The two men who were inside the truck
are believed to be responsible for the hay bale and pasture fires
    Monday night, authorities said.
"There's no doubt in our minds they were intentionally set,"
    Rogers said.
Garfield County firefighters have been putting out hay bale
fires for the past two months. None have been reported since last
week but authorities are pursuing leads and sharing information,
said Ron Horton, an agent for the state fire marshals office.
Horton said authorities are looking for a white Chevrolet pickup
in connection with the arson fires. The truck is equipped with an
extremely high lift kit and large tires, he said.

Anyone with information about the truck or any of the fires
should call the Garfield County Sheriff's Department at (580)
237-0244 or Oklahoma Arson Hotline at (800) 522-8666.
