Hose Lay Limits: per Akron eductors @ 200psi
Class A up to 1%
1 1/2" 60gpm = 600' 95gpm = 200'
1 3/4" 95gpm = 350' 125gpm = 200'
2 1/2" 250gpm = 350'
Class B 3-6%
1 1/2" 60gpm = 400' 95gpm = 150'
1 3/4" 95gpm = 250' 125gpm = 150'
2 1/2" 250gpm = 300'
ADSN is right you have to match gpm which is stamped on the eductor.
As a rule, eductors use 30% of the pressure that is pumped to it.
200psi on inlet side - 60 psi used in the eductor - 140 psi is discharged. Eductors can be pumped at lower or higher pressures and still produce foam. But in order to produce the percentage of foam per the dial setting on the eductor it should be pumped at the manufactory recommended psi - 125, 150, 200.

200' from the eductor for 1.75" hose, 1.5" is 150'.
As long as you can give the eductor 200 psi you can do anything between the engine and the eductor.
Don't forget to match the nozzle with the eductor. ie 95gpm nozzle with a 95 gpm eductor.

proper foam hose layout
Hi all we are at work and having a bit of an argument on the proper hose layout for foam eductor. (length of hose after eductor,pressure etc.) For both 38 and 65mm hose (1.5 & 2.5 inch) It is the weekend and we cant access our training division. Anybody have any rules of thumb that their dept. uses thanxTags: None
