I have a Blue Signal Mini Phantom LED light that I use in my personal vehicle as a deck light in the rear. Lately, it has not been working all the time, especially when the car is very cold. Sometimes, I'll switch it on and see only a quick flash, then nothing. I used to use it in the windshield until I upgraded to a bigger light and noticed the same problem. If I smack it a few times, it comes back on. Obviously this is not a practical solution, especially with it being in the rear of the car. It seems that once the car has been on for a while and thoroughly warmed, it works fine.
Is this just a loose connection somewhere inside the light that is made worse by the cold?
The light is probably about 4 years old now. I recently got the light wired to work with a switch I have for other lights (used to just be cigarette plug, but issue was happening before the switch).
