ChiefEngineer11 and I attended the grand opening of Mack's "new" Customer Service/Support Center, located at what was formerly the Engineering and R & D Facility in Allentown, Pa. Mack did a gorgeous job of refurbishing the lobby and shop areas, turning it into a beautiful showroom for potential customers to come and get the Mack experience. The facility, which has existed since the 60's, features a 1 mile+ test track, with brake pads, inclines, etc. There is also a sound test chamber, a wind tunnel, and several dynos. Also, the Mack Trucks Museum has been moved here from another location (which was much smaller and very cramped.) The new museum facilities are outstanding, with plenty of room to display artifacts of Mack historical significance. The museum is cared for by members of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Antique Truck Club of America. If you are ever in Allentown, Pa. I highly recommend you try to visit the Mack Museum.
Enjoy the pictures.
