    Kme Fire Apparatus built a few pumpers & aerials in 2005 , 2006, on Spartan custom chassis. It will cost you a few bucks more for the " Spartan ".

    KME used to build on Spartan, but I thought they stopped that before 2002. Definitely looks like a Scope aerial, have to agree with RFD on that. Outriggers give it away for sure. Didn't think Seagrave would build on anything but their own custom chassis. Enquiring minds want to know.

    The "2003 KME" is at least very misleading and at worst just wrong. The truck is clearly a Spartan/Aerialscope, and anything else is barely worth mentioning. Even if KME did the body (looks like a Saulsbury Aluminum job) to call it a 2003 KME is a crime!

    I am quite familiar with this truck - it's about 4 miles south of my department. It is not a refurb. It was purchased new from Saulsbury. I don't know what that is on the grille, but to my knowledge, it has no affiliation whatsoever to KME.

    Now I'm curious - I'm gonna hafta run down there and check out the grille for myself. I'll get back to you.

    The Pa, aerial apparatus web site that I found the photo from say's it is a Kme/Spartan/Scope and a zoom in shoot of the grill shows a ' KME " emblem !Maybe the fire body was built & installed by KME ?

    Any firefighters or departments from the Pa, area have information on this truck . It is listed on a web site as a Kme/Spartan/Aerialscope 95' apparatus ,anyone know if it is a new truck or a " refurbed scope " . The apparatus has a " KME " emblem on it's grill and the truck is owned by the Lewisburg FD ?
