Anyone confirm or deny that the Aerialscope bid for the towers was thrown out (rejected) and now it is a toss up between Ferrara and Pierce?

Originally posted by jfTL41I believe you are correct I will confirm. As for the others mentioned above they were bid nearly 2 years ago and it was 12 TL's and 15 RM aerials not 8. Maybe if the EVT's at Seagrave would STFU and turn a wrench we could get back some of those rigs sitting at their shops. Less talk more work...

Why does FDNY like the 75' ??? Anyone know why they don't go bigger? Or is it simply because that's as tall as aerialscopes go.------------------------------------

What is the height of 90% of the NFP MD's in the city?

PS- Some of the larger appratus won't fit in our small quarters. For example in Manhattan there are only three-95ft. TL's. Ladder Co's, 9,12&14.Last edited by FFFRED; 10-29-2006, 07:56 AM.
