    Ok, the biggest questions...

    CAFS 1,

    Pneumax 140P

PTO Compressor,140SCFM at max operating RPM

Compressor gets cooling from the water pump.

    Spin on oil filter.

    600 GPM minimum foam manifold.

Check valve to prevent foam from going back into the pump, air lines, or
    proportioning system.

    CAFS 2

    Hercules

Hydraulic drive compresser, 140 CFM, through the PTO.

?water/oil cooler to cool the compresser.

A multitude of filters mentioned, I am guessing thought that both units have
    that.

    Same check valves it appears.

System 2 does offer as an option, a "Air Tool Outlet" on the pump panel,
and system 1 does not state this in their papers, but their sales rep
    says no problem.

    Thoughts?????

You will find both systems you have described are very simmilar
There are some differences in the controls for the compressors
    Some different brand components

Your sales person is correct on system 1 an outlet for air tools is not a problem it is the same as 2 optional
I would suggest to get this it is very usefull
you are looking at two great systems that will last many years
    Thanks

      I vote for Option #1.

There is no hyrdaulic pump, lines, or tank to maintain for the compressor drive.

        Use option #1

        Much user friendly system.
We looked at both the 140 and the Eclipse system, but with what we were desiring to acheive went with the complete Eclipse sytem.

The CAFS will be money well spent.

when we purchased our Eclips system in 03 we looked at how long the differant companys had been continiously working with cafs systems we are now specing a 500/150 for a fast attack and two nearby departments have retro fitted trucks to pneumax systems both the 140's i think, the training and support has been great, whatever system you get work with them to mack sure OEM installs according to thier directions
