    price

I would think that a MD ladder would be cheaper, especially if they never use it for master stream ops. My question is why they call a straight stick a tower. Do the MD ladders have Pre Piped Waterways?

    CFD Aerials

I have noticed that some of Chicago's aerials have 2 outriggers and some have 4 outriggers. The ones with 4 outriggers seem to be labeled Aerial Tower and the ones with 2 outriggers seem to be labelded Truck Co. This is despite the fact that the 2 outrigger aerials are also 100' aerials. A quick glance at the Pierce website would seem to indicate that the 2 outrigger aerials are the medium duty aerials with only a 250 lb. tip load. I believe I have also seen Detroit with the same 100' medium duty aerials, but am willing to be wrong on that.

Why would the medium duty be preferrable to the fully rated heavy duty?
