  • Looking for Specs.

I'm working on writing a spec for a new single axle 500 GWT 1500 Pump 6 Man cab engine. I am interested in seeing some other specs so I can compare what I've got with what I still need to add/delete. The spec we are writing is more performance based, so those types of examples would be great. Email [email protected]

    Thanks in advance!

You may talk with Asbury Park. I just recently saw the new pumpers from Smeal they got, not bad units for the cost.
Not a real big HME chassis fan, i guess you could change the chassis.
    Just an idea.

We have a 6 man HME cab on our new Ahrens Fox rescue pumper and we love it. Lots of interior room. Smooth ride. Plenty of power. Unbelievably tight turning radius. I think people may be hung up on older HME chassis and not looking at improvements that have been made.

We also wrote parts of our specs as performance standards. Acceptable flows and friction loss in preconnect discharges. Acceptable flows from a rear suction. Shelving types and locations, including drop down roll outs and slide outs. Top speed of the vehicle.
