We may soon be in the market for a 100' used platform. We looking at something that is 10 years old or less. It must have a minimum of 1500 gpm pump. It can be rear or midmount. We are not picky about that because we realize that we are not going to have a lot of trucks to choose from. We are told that a new truck is out of the question, but they are willing to spend around $600,000. We are replacing a 1973 Pirsch 85' stick on a Ford C-900. We desperately need an upgrade and feel the platform is our best option due to our coverage area. Does anyone know of any trucks that are currentyly up for sale or will be in the near future? Any suggestions on how to find one if you don't? Thank you for the input and help.

We're looking for a 75' quint with the same age limits, so I feel your pain.
Brindlee Mountain has a Pierce in your age range on their site. Though it is a SkyArm, which may raise some concern in some circles.

Brindlee Mt also has a 100' Bronto on hand. I know a local FD that flew a team down to look at it as says a great truck. They are trying to get a deal put together but not getting the support they need from the City. Is priced within your budget.
Bronto are the cats meow for a platform. Does some awesome stuff compared to a platform. But expect to spend more on maint/upkeep.Last edited by fireinfo10; 03-02-2011, 04:11 PM.

Used Tower for sale
"You may want to check with Brindlee Mountain. Our VFD and my career department have worked with them several times and they are great guys. They move a ton of late model aerials. I know a lot of their stuff sells off a wait list - they never advertise them because they have buyers waiting - so I would call them and tell them what you are looking for. I think they are going to have a 2004 Pierce Platform coming in a few months that they have not advertised yet - it could be an option for you guys."
