It should be on the pressure reducer. That big blocky thing that the hose from the cylinder goes into. Sometimes it'll get hid behind the brackets.

The primary component of the pack is that pressure reducer, at least with a Scott. The back plate and other components can be replaced, which is why they put the S/N there.

I don't know how Draeger or anyone else does it, but I know they have different systems in regards to the pressure reducer.

          SCOTT serial number configurations

Remove the cylinder and you should see the serial plate. Depending on the age of the Scott Pak, the serial number (pressure reducer) should look like:

          115S060812345

115S - Internal tracking, 06 Year of manuf., 08 Week of manuf., 12345 unique identifier

          NE011602945BB2

N- new, E- Month of manuf (A-M excluding I) 01- Year of Manuf., 16029 Internal tracking, 45- Working pressure, BB- Dual manifold, 2- Internal tracking

          89211234

89- Year of manuf REVERSED, 21- Month of manuf REVERSED, 1234- Internal tracking

Any upgerades will have an additional 'tag' that looks (for example) like : N0909 or C0909 (N- NFPA upgrade 09- Month, 09- Year, C- CBRN upgrade MMYY)

The regulator has the same configuration (mostly) I know it can be a pain, but it is important to record all the serial numbers on the Pak (reducer, regulator, PASS) for complete and accurate records, which will help to understand if the unit has any warranty left (not to mention recording any repairs on individual components)

          Warranty:

          2.2, 3.0, 4.5, AP50's: 1/8/15

1 Year electronics, 8 year "bumper to bumper" and 15 years pressure reducer

          AP75's: 3/10/15

3 Years on electronics, 10 years "bumper to bumper" and 15 years pressure reducer...

If you have further questions, feel free to ask!

Medic190 Where did you get this info? A Scott tech manual? If so, which manual and where. I could only find info for the older pressure reducers in the Scott tech manual. Thanks.
