    All I can tell you is every rig I've seen around here is registering 250 TRANS temp at operating temperature.Firemech has the #'s as I know them. T.C.

      Yes it does. But there is a difference between the direct drive fans, and thermostatically controlled viscous clutch fans. On the direct drive fans, there should be no issue with the "lid" open or closed. But, with the clutch fan, it can create a cooling problem.
