  • Looking for an FDNY apparatus "Expert"

A couple of guys here at work and I are battling over apparatus that the FDNY has had.

The debate centers around whether the FDNY has ever had an E-One Ladder truck, or a Pierce ladder truck. Not as a one off but as part of a regular order of fire apparatus.

    Thanks.
Crazy, but that's how it goes

I consider myself an FDNY Apparatus "amateur enthusiast."

To my knowledge, there never has been an E-One or Pierce Aerial. The E-One and Pierce vehicles shown in various TV shows such as Rescue Me, Third Watch, Etc. have never been official FDNY vehicles.

There was one demonstrator E-One pumper a few moons ago, that basically self-destructed after 2-3 years of being assigned to some busy companies.

If you can't get a hold of MM, let me know and I will email "The Master and Commander of all things FDNY Apparatus."

The FDNY also has a few " Ferrara " engines and a " Spartan chassis engine " that is used only for funerals, and let's not forget the Pierce Rescue 1 !

What are you trying to imply by putting those words in quotes?

I don't have a choice on the Diet Dew. I am an original Mountain Dew drinker from 1966 when it first hit the market. I even still have the original promotional giveaways. They were a black felt hill billy hat with a feather and a corn cob pipe. I was hooked from my first taste.

To be honest, having drank the Diet Dew for almost 4 years now I can't stand the taste of the sugared regular Dew anymore!
