Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is hiring approx 75 firefighters per year. The growth is enormous. They usually hire 3 classes a year. The department is now at approx 1000 personnel with 5 new stations scheduled to open in the the next 2 years. check them out at www.pbcfr.org. Good luck.

Florida has lots of firefighter jobs and plenty of folks appling them them. Check out the web sites to: Florida Association of Fireman (Firefighters) and Florida Association of Fire Chiefs. Go to the jobs or classified section. I would also try the State Employment Office (great resource). Don't forget the Division of Forestry (not the best pay, but what an experience). Lastly, Orange County Fire Rescue (Orlando) is hiring, call them - 407-836-9000.
