    You can go to www.nfpa.org and read a copy of NFPA 1001. Most departments around our state have individual standards. Our state also has state-wide certification which defines a minimum standard for ff training. I would suggest that you contact various agencies and find out what their requirements are. If you are flexible and able to relocate, there are lots of job opportunities.

    I would be happy to assist you in your search if I can.

    Most of the Fire Depts. in Colorado, do not require any type of previous training or experiance. Some do require EMT or 60 credit Hrs. of college. Good luck
