Texas Job Openings

The Texas Commission on Fire Protection licenses paid firefighters . They post job openings on their web site. They also (for a fee or free download) a list of all paid departments in the state. One thing to be aware of-In Texas you must attend a multi-week academy and pass the state certification exam before you may operate on the fireground. There are several open enrollment academies in the state, some out-of-state certifications transfer, and larger cities and metro areas may operate their own academy.
