Pittsburgh is just finishing up their 2nd recruit class from the previous hiring. However, the EMS is just starting to put on the job, EMT so maybe you could try for one of those positions?? GOOD LUCK.

Let’s try to get this thread going again without making a new one.
I was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh (Emsworth Glenfield area off 65) I moved out of the burgh when I went into the military. I am now a firefighter in Charleston SC and I would love to come back home. The problem is I am not sure of the residency requirement, I was told they pulled it and others told me they have not. Does anyone really know?
Does anyone know of them hiring anytime soon?Comment

According to their website, Pittsburgh has an exam tentatively scheduled for March 24, 2012.
