The San Francisco Fire Department has 36 vacancies in Class H-3 Firefighter Paramedic. The Department plans to conduct a selection process and make appointments by December 1999.

Requirements are 1. One year of verifiable job experience (within 5 years) in a paid, full-time position as a sworn uniformed firefighter in any city, county, state, or federal fire department; AND 2. One year verifiable experience (within 5 years) in a paid, full-time position as a paramedic delivering ALS care; AND 3. Possession and maintenance of a current, valid paramedic license from the State of California EMS Authority; AND 4. Possession of an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification by time of appointment; AND 5.
