Yes, the box under the seat is the transceiver, not a repeater. I'm not sure on the wattage, but i know it is the most powerful one of the bunch.
This is not a free system, we would like to get a little bit out of it, but I don't have the liberty to set the price (have to discuss with the department).

That "large box" is probably the actualt guts of the traciever. On the remote head radios, there is a little control head on the dash and all the rest of the radio is usually under the seat somewhere.
If it were a repeater, it would probably be Motorola greyish-black and say PAC-RT on it. If it were newer, it would be a very small little box with a bunch of lights on the front. Probably would say Pyrimid SVR-200 or VXR-1000.

the radio in our rescue van is old motorola and it has a large box that goes under or behind a seat. it's dark in color and is about 24 inches long, 14 inches tall and about 3 inches thick. don't know if this is what it could be but who knows. our radio is 100 watts so it's powerful enough. oh it's not for sale just trying to help figure out the "large box".

sounds to me like that "large box under the seat" may be a vehicular repeater and if thats the case, that would be a NICE system.

All of this equipment is fully functional, the reason for selling is that our department has moved to high band. If interested, please email to the following addresses:
