  • Those departments in need - 1986 to donate

    In the past we have donated serviceable hose, SCBA, suctions, appliances, and some PPE. We are now in the circumstance where we have been able to upgrade from our 1866 E-One to a 1997 Pierce. We no there is very little resale value on the engine so we are willing to donate to a department that needs a front line engine.

    The specifics:
    1986 Ford L-900
    * Detroit 6V-92TA
    * Allison HT-740
    * Kingpins, hoses, brakes, tires all replaced within last 4 years
    * Approximately 32,000 miles
    * 2 man cab with 3 man canopy seating in back
    * SCBA holders in 4 of 5 seated positions
    E-One fire body (aluminum)
    * Hale 1500 gpm single stage pump (very tight pump with no issues)
    * Top mount panel
    * 1,000 gallon tank
    * Deck gun
    * 2 - 2.5" discharges left, right, and rear
    * 4 - 1.5" crosslays on pump panel
    * 1 - 6" and 1 - 2.5" suction/intake each side
    * High side compartments driver side
    * Low compartments officer side
    * Ladder holder with 2 fly - 28' extension ladder and 12' roof ladders included
    * Large hosebed (currently carries 1,000' 5" LDH, 900' 3" hose, Portable pond, 200' - 2.5", 6" suction) Hose not in the donation

    9'9" tall
    32' long

    Truck runs well. Pump is great. No AC, but the heat works. We had the vehicle painted in 2002, but it could use some touch ups.

    If you know of a department that needs a reliable front line engine, but doesn't have the monetary means to upgrade to a vehicle (again this is a 1986) please message me and we will talk about it.

    We really want to see this apparatus going to a department that needs a good, solid, tight piece of apparatus. It is not new, does not have all of the bells and whistles, but it is and will be a good front - line apparatus for a department in need. I know there are departments in need in the US. I have had interest from out of the country, but we really want this to go to a domestic department that has a need.

    If you know of a department like this, please send me a message. There may be additional equipment that goes with the apparatus as well.

      Sent a private message (PM).

      Have you considered contacting the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund? They may know of a fire company that may need fire apparatus.

        If you haven't found a dept. yet, try contacting your state fire marshal (or equivalent). We donated our '91 Grumman to a VFD when we got a new Pierce last fall. It became their newest engine, and the first one they had with an enclosed cab.

          We were able to find a department in rural KY that is in need. The engine will be going there this spring.

          Thank you yo those that have reached out.
