Anyone here volunteer for Sunnyvale, TX? I'm considering volunteering because I live very close to one of their stations and I work 8 - 5 (I think they work their paid guys 40 hrs a week, and the volunteers cover nights/weekends).

I went by the station last night and got my application. Met the chief, got to talk to him for a while, and then while I was there some car just up the road needed a tire changed, but the guys at the station didn't have the right tool. I just happened to have one in my trunk so I lent it to them and got to talk with them some more.

Hopefully I made a good impression. I'll return this application next week and then have an interview probably in January.
