I just got appointed to head up a wellness program in my Fire Department. It is a new idea around here and I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas or suggestions of things that had worked in their Department.

We havea full time RN as our coordinator, we are part of the PHLAME study with OHSU that provides fitness annuals and physicals, We have peer fitness trainers (10) to work with FF for workouts. We do a quarterly newsletter. It is a slow and sometime frustrating endeavor to get guys to realize how important fitness is in this job.
