Throwing up
I wish I had read this earlier. I hope your test went well. The BRAT, water and gatorade ideas all sound good to me.
But: at the core of it, and for your future health:
When you get a food poisoning episode like that, your body is (obviously) reacting to something you have taken in by getting rid of it fast. Usually it's a bug or bacteria. The body has it's normal Flora or bacteria to combat incoming bacteria, But when something like this happens, sometimes it uses all of it's natural backstock to fight the immediate problem at hand.
I suggest that you go to the healthfood store and buy acidopholous (in capsules) to replenish what your gut (intestines) lost during your recent sickness. Most of your immune system function takes place in your gut. Acidopholus costs $8-10, and will prevent you from getting sick again... and fight whatever might be left of your bug.
I hate to be so graphic, but i find that it also makes symptoms go away WHILE I'm sick, even if I take it between doubts of ... puking etc.
Hope you are all better!

Thanks!
Thanks for the advice everyone.
I drank lots of water throughout firday and had a dinner of plain rice and Gatorade (yum). Followed that up with rice, bananas, Gatorade and an energy bar over the course of the morning and had some more water and a power bar on the drive there.
Passed with 45 secs to spare and didn't even feel like throwing up again.
Thanks again! Stay safe.

the old BRAT method... Bananas, Rice, Apples, Toast. They are all easy on the stomach to digest. Drink some gatorade or Pedialyte. They will both restore your electrolytes.

For one: rehydrate.
Water, water, water. And then some Gatorade G2 (less calories from sugar).
Have a banana beforehand and an energy bar.
Feel better and good luck.

Need some help with CPAT this weekend
Hey all, I've been preparing for my upcoming CPAT (tomorrow) for a while with no issues. I've also passed many a CPAT in years past and they really haven't given me any problems. However, yesterday I got food poisoning or something and ended up upchucking all night. Today I feel that I got it all out of my system, but i'm at about 50% energy level.
Any advice or suggestions on what I can do/eat to get my energy levels back up for my test tomorrow? I know most of it is just going to be sucking it up for the 10 mins, but looking for any anything that might help my body recover.
Thanks for any help.Tags: None
