hey whats up brothers, and sisters :P. just finally after 3 months got my background check in and on the dept. for my town.. just wanted to ask a question how long does it normaly take for background check for a volunteer dept in your town? maybe mine is just slow as hell... which is a possibly there like that with everything

When I joined my Volunteer firedepartment it took two weeks for the back round check.

They've probably found something suspicious and are watching your house at this moment. You should make a show of reading the Bible, watching reruns of theLawrence Welk Show and singing gospel music at the top of your lungs, with the clapping.

I'm sure everything will be fine. It takes time, and it can feel like forever.

My old department has a couple Sheriff's Deputies on it.He ran the wants and warrants on me the same day I applied to join and they decided I was trustworthy enough even after a misdemeanor assault conviction 11 years ago.
Even if you've done some hinky stuff,if you can get on a department,do not give them reason to regret it.Keep your nose clean and take the chance to learn all that you can.
