Prospective Firefighter

hey guys,

i am currently a high school senior with only 4ish months left before graduation. i have gotten into school for a fire science/ paramedic associates degree program. my question is should i go for that then in two years join the department, or should i try to get in now? another question is what would that degree do for me in the department? thanks for any and all help.

What state are you in??

You need to check all in your state/ cities for the requirements to apply

Suggest you get needed certs to apply and then start applying

If no certs apply and go to school

Also, dont tell anybody else on these forums where you live if its as easy as just "joining the department".
