I was wondering if getting "let go" of a typical teenager bus person job can hurt my chances of getting hired on a department. I did not steal or anything major like that. Thanks in advance for your input.

Can getting fired harm my chances?

No need to worry
Losing a job is not all that I've lost in Vegas.... You do not have to worry about losing any jobs. All you do is explain what the circumstances were and all will be fine.

Its not too big of a deal, especially if it wasnt very recent. I was fired from a job in high school, it never came up and Ive been hired by 2 depts. As long as you havent been fired a couple of times. Actually mine was even beyond the 10 year backround check. How recent was it??

I cant remember the exact dates but i believe it was in 2004. Thanks for the posts guys. I was scared for a minute after reading some post around here. It's good to know that shouldnt affect my getting hired.
And i am sorry to hear that Jay. Growing up here takes all the fun out of gambling and you see it for the true rip off it is. Although im not old enough i still would put my money in a slot if i was.
Be Safe...And stay above the influence.
