  • Seattle's written exam

Ok I got my letter for the date and time of the exam. I am wondering if their exam is different from other exams. They have a 2.5 hour study session prior to the exam. Is the exam going to be over a certain book that you study during the session? Anyone have any experience with this?

You have the 2.5 hours to study from a booklet they will give you at the beginning of the testing period. Then there will be a short break, followed by taking the actual test. EVERYTHING on the test will be out of the booklet they give you. They let you take notes, but you must turn everything, including any notes you've taken, back in at the end of the 2.5 hrs. Basically taking notes is only to help with retention of the information. As long as you have a decent short term memory, the test isn't that hard.

(At least thats how it worked last time I tested with them)

You haven't been reading your copy of "War and Peace" that the test is over???

      Written Test Information

In the past, it has been a stapled study guide booklet with various things/topics in it: Reading, Math, Mechanical Aptitude, Blueprints/Plans, and Scene drawings/photos.

Use your time wisely. With the video test gone this time, you'll need to get a very high score to be competitive to the next step. Overstudy. It will help when you come to a question that you rack your brain thinking "I read that. Now what was it???"

Try to get used to sitting for a long time without needing to go to the bathroom. There's only two and they get pretty disgusting as the day progresses.

      Good luck,

          Seattle Test

Does anyone know the location and time of the Seattle written exam? Please post if you do. I did not receive my information about the test and will need to check with HR.

There are two sessions: Morning and Afternoon (1330). Don't know what time for the morning session.

            UW
            Kane Hall

Call if you haven't received anything yet.
