Who's Hiring??? For the past 4 years I've been a Firefighter in the Air Force. My enlistment ends in Feb and I will be relocating to Indy. I have FF I & II, Airport FF, Driver/Operator, and HazMat Tech, however I'm not certain that these certs or my military service will matter in the actual hiring process. Last month at the Wayne Twp test they didn't give any Vet Pref points and I don't know if anyone else does either. I would highly appreciate some info on the employment status for departments in the Indianapolis area. Any other hints or tips will be helpful as well. Thanks!

Fishers had an ad in the paper and so did Noblesville recently. Other departments around here are either in a hiring process or just completed one. Vet preference around Indy is not automatic, but your experiences could help during the interview process when they ask what you've done with your life etc. -
I saw the Fishers ad again this morning. (Indianapolis Star) Also, Terre Haute had an ad, but it looks like they want medics they can train as FF's.Comment
