    2nd Class???

    I have an application from a local city for Firefighter 2nd class. Anyone know what this 2nd class means?

    More than likely its a "entry" level firefighter. After completion of the Academy you move up to "1st" class. Then???

          Not as good as 1st Class but better than 3rd Class?
